While your were at Studio Days ........

Contrary to popular beliefs(Tks to JS), I am not able to attend Studio Days 2 because I was infected with H1N1.

I was not sick in bed at Tan Tock Seng nor been quarantined at Aloha. I have been to Phuket Thailand a few days before Studio Days 2.

Anyway Phuket was great fun and I shot quite a bit of photos there and I am here to share some pics with you ppl. Some of u might have seen some in my fb pages but here goes :

As a Electrical Engineering Student to be, I am amazed at how they wire the place.

We were greeted by a beautiful sunset on our first visit to the beach.








After 6pm, the streets is transformed into a Night Life haven for the party animals.






The next morning after 5am, the parties are over and the ppl goes back to their lumber. Then the cleaners will come onto the streets to clear the mess the parties have created.


This is taken at 9am and this is how empty the streets are.


So I went to their wet market to take a look. Guess what they are just starting to set up their stalls....









Last day liao and it was raining cats and dogs, but rain is not going to stop me from shooting so I went out onto the streets to shoot.



The best bowl of noodle I have eaten there in the cold rain.



And finally Home Sweet Home :)

Conclusion of Studio Days 2

Studio Days 2 has come to a conclusion last friday, thank you those who have signed up SD2, and to the J1 exco who have come down specially just to open the club room for us. It has been an especially exciting few days for me, because I got to try some new studio techniques, became a model (just for the sake of new FB profile pics) and JOEY KISSED ME!!! Hahahahaha okies okies...

That's all from me actually...

I hope the Studio Days series will inspire you guys to venture into studio photography, don't be intimidated by new equipment you're unfamiliar with, because they are really easy to use (really la!) and hopefully next time you guys will have your own creative studio experiments.

Tales of the Fallen Princesses and their life after happily ever after....

Hey yo peeps at Studio Days :) Last day already ? Sad I couldn't be there as I just came back from a land suspected to be infected with H1N1( and sexually confused humans). Unless anyone wants to skip Mid-years or work, u can try looking for me :) Actually I past-by the school yesterday while walking home from Ikea and really felt like going in but I love your too much and don't want u ppl to get sick so in the end I resisted. Sniff Sniff ! ARHHHHHHHHHHH!

Anyway, I chance upon this cool studio idea when surfing the net this morning. Its about story telling in a studio :) This one for example is what the Fairy Tales Princesses were doing after the story ends happily ever after(or not ?).

Studio Days 2 Day 3

Today I abit lazy la, so share two shots I took today...





This two are two different frames, but with different white balance and lighting. First a plastic bag was suspended over a fish tank. The plastic bag was first filled with water and subsequently a hole was poked at the bottom of it, so that a constant line of water would drip from the plastic bag into the tank. A few trial shots were taken first with plain water, then subsequently red dye was added to the water in the plastic bag. One SB-80dx was used to light the background and another was used to light the water droplet, taken at 1/250, f/6.3, 50mm macro on Ch mode.

Studio Days 2 Day 2

After some hiccups in today's Studio Day event (I think you guys can guess what happened judging from the activity on the tagboard), I think the girls who listened to Junsen's lesson today have learnt a lot. Today was an exciting day. We had one special guest (HAHA HE KISSED ME!) and one unlikely model, the QTPL Jr. With two guitars and one violin in the clubroom, the strumming and chicken scratch level was at a new high in the clubroom. Lols. Ok ok, I'll just upload my pics for today. (I still have some very cool ones with JS!!! Send them to me qweeklee!)
