I'm guessing some of you might be thinking, "gosh, wasn't Ubin a damn long time ago?" You're right. For those who haven't existed in the photog namelist then, Ubin was an outing organised by the Alumni back in 30th December 2008. I finally developed that roll of film from Ubin, which I would not have if it wasn't for Junsen who wanted to borrow my FM2.
On the way there...
During sunset 3 boys frolicked in the marsh... It was our lucky day to see the tide so low. Lowest ever that month, actually.
Chin Chye's flowers re-looked.
I'm so gonna print this A4 and hang it in my room.
Thank you all for coming for Operation Ubin, I hope you have enjoyed everything we planned... Next time after you have signed up, please don't pangseh. It's not very nice for the pockets of the Alumni. Actually, the pockets of the Alumni top brass who had to pay the difference. Thank you. And no more pangseh.
I guess Ubin was, you know- Ubin- I've been there 4 times this year, and nothing in Ubin surprises me anymore. If you weren't with us on Monday, I have to say you missed out on some stuff, like the low tide of 0.4m. We could see lots of crabs and seaweed and birds fishing. Beautiful.
I must say our first aid team is the best! Ok, maybe cos Elliot didnt come, so I must say MY FIRST AIDER WAS THE BEST! (No la PPC, none of the kids fell down and broke a neck.) A french little girl fell down and scraped her knee. Shirleen helped to dress her wounds. Well, though we sorta didn't understand what they were saying, and they didn't quite know what we were saying either, but we managed with a few simple phrases of Anglais. (See pictorial evidence below.)
Well, chalet was kinda fun too. Thank goodness the screening of the embarrassing Ops Ubin The Movie was over. Oh, did I mention- the fire was PERFECT? Hehe, all thanks to King and me who set up the fire... and thanks to Hou Teck's zippo to "add fuel to the fire". Lols.
Alrighto, enough of me ranting... Those who went for Ops Ubin, please share and post your pics! Oh come on, I know you have blogging access... Come on, atta boy! (and girls!)
Ops ubin have finally come to an end after 3 months of extensive planing. Yeah! Well it all went pretty smoothly all tks to the plannings we made. There might be a little hicups here and there but I am glad everyone enjoyed it :) Tks all who have made it possible. Here's some pictures for those who missed out on the trip: ( or ps us, yes we are looking at u☺ haha)
Taken during a recce session. Although the sky was overcast, the pictures turned out very nice:)
Perfect example of three primary colors in one pic :) haha
The nice little tudor style cottage at chek jawa.

Safety and Security
The Alumni recognizes the need for extensive planning to ensure safe and secure conduct of Operation Ubin. As of current discussions, there will be an appointment of a safety officer who will preside over all areas of planning with a chief focus on ensuring the safe procession of the actual day exercise. However, all members are to be reminded to be responsible for their own safety as well as others around them. The safety officer has all rights to stop and pull any member of the exercise out from the exercise whom he feels that is jeopardizing the safety of anyone.
